It's been a great week, full of family gatherings and lots of wedding planning. We're having the bridal shower tomorrow. It's all very exciting!
My oldest daughter arrived this week from Alaska. She's know driven (as a passenger) from Boston to Alaska and Alaska to Mississippi. After hearing all the stories and seeing the pictures, I really want to make that drive. It sounds impossible but they've proven that it absolutely can be done. She brought home lots of goodies that they picked up a long the route. Soaps, honey, handmade items, and coffee.
Outside my window
The air is changing. Not dramatically, but there's a difference. It feels softer.
The pecan trees are starting to drop leaves, always the first to drop and last to get new ones.
I am pondering
Suffering and trials. Paul went through so much in his life and ministry and never complained. I'd like to be more like Paul.
I am thankful
For the friends and family that are in town this week to celebrate and support the bride to be.
For progress, on the property, for the wedding and in my own heart.
In the kitchen
A roast in the crockpot and bread that's being made almost daily now.
I am creating
A Christmas tree forest for the wedding. Yes there are Christmas trees put up in the house, in October. Not lit, not decorated. Just a headstart. One less thing to stress about later. It's a special year!
