Week In Review 9/5/2025

My granddaughter turned two on Monday, and we had a wonderful celebration with both sides of the family. The party was Bluey themed and my daughter in law did such an amazing job with the decorations. My granddaughter is such a joy and, if I may say so, the smartest and cutest little thing I've ever seen.(okay, maybe I'm a little partial.)
On Wednesday, as we were leaving the house, I turned to close the door and fell backward over my big dog. I landed full force, feet in the air, right on my tailbone. A bruised tailbone is no joke! It is VERY painful and I've been hobbling along, resting, and praying that my recovery is quicker than the estimated "months" I've been reading about online.
Now that the evenings are cooler, I love to sit and watch the bats come out, swooping down in their erratic, chaotic way.
A few of my girls are in the Smoky Mountains this week, so I'm hoping they send me some pictures to post.
What I'm seeing
Housework piling up while I've been out of commission.
What I'm pondering
The book of Isaiah and why it's so hard for me? I zone out while reading and I'm just having trouble.
What I'm thankful for
That my fall wasn't as bad as it could have been.
What I'm cooking
A chicken that became chicken salad and then chicken fried rice.
Today will be smash burgers.
What I'm looking forward to
My oldest, who lives in Alaska, coming to spend some time with me between jobs.
What I'm praying for
A whole lot. Oh so many things. I'm realizing more and more just how dependent I am on God.
I heard a song called."I can't even walk without holding your hand." It describes me perfectly.
What I'm hearing
Lord of the Rings ambiance on the TV. David moving around upstairs.
